Synchronisation Licences

  • MASTER SYNCHRONISATION LICENCE

    • A Master Synchronisation Licence is required when the City and Vine owned master is being “synchronised” with other media, such as video, film and advertising. For Master Synchronisation use requests, please give a full description of the purpose for which the music will be used, and a listing of each song requested, including the duration for each song, and which album the song is from.

  • SYNCHRONISATION LICENCE

    • A Synchonisaion Licence is required when you are creating a recording of a City and Vine administered song (eg: video cover, etc) or your recording is being “synchronised” with other media, such as video, film and advertising. For a Synchronisation Licence a Mechanical Licence may also be required.

 

Print Licences

  • PRINT (SPECIAL) LICENCE

    • A Print (Special) Licence is the use of any lyric or music print reproductions that are NOT music books or sheet music, i.e. greeting cards, wedding programs, gift items, novels, magazines, etc. If the song is being quoted in a literary work, you will need to send the page before, page of and page after the quotation to the City and Vine offices. 

  • COMMERCIAL PRINT LICENCE

    • A Commercial Print Licence is for music books and sheet music, including commercially distributed arrangements.

Mechanical Licence

A Mechanical Licence is for the reproduction of a song on a CD, Music DVD or Digital Download. As City and Vine is a member of the Australian Mechanical Copyright Owner's Society (AMCOS), please defer to City and Vine staff on whether or not you will need to contact the mechanical society directly.

 

Church Reproduction Licence

A Church Reproduction Licence covers churches for usage specific for worship in a church setting. This licence covers the reproduction and arrangement of the music and the display of lyrics in a public setting. 

Master Use Licence

This is a request for the use of the sound recording owned by City and Vine, not including film and video, i.e. compilations and duplications. For master use requests, please give a full description of the purpose for which the music will be used, and a listing of each song requested, including the duration of each song, and which album the song is from.
